Why Family Yoga?
Yoga is incredibly beneficial for your body, mind, and whole self. It’s not just for super-flexible, super-zen, or super-special people, it’s for everyone, regardless of age, race, gender, or anything else. Yoga is a great way to move your body, connect to your breath, and get out of your head. Not only is it a great chance to feel good in your body, yoga with the whole family means you don’t have to find a quiet time to be alone, you can share the connection together. Children and adults of all ages, flexibilities, and abilities can enjoy the benefits of conscious breath and intentional movement.
What are “The Rules?”
1. Do what feels right for you. Each body is different, and we feel different every day. The aim isn’t to “do it right,” but to do what feels beneficial for you based on how you’re feeling each day. Rest assured that anytime you spend moving your body and connecting to your breath is time well-spent.
2. No judgement! You do you, and let everyone else do what works for them. Yoga doesn’t need comparison or judgement, just an open mind and a willingness to give it a go!
3. Have fun. Yoga is meant to help you feel good! Smiles are highly suggested and laughing is greatly appreciated. Take breaks if you need, play some fun music if you like, and enjoy moving and breathing together!
